NILES - Dorothy A. "Dotti" Ziegler, 70, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday March 31, 2016 at the Windsor House in Champion following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Dotti was born in Warren, Ohio on April 7, 1945 the daughter of Joseph A. and Sara Jane (Ochs) Parker. She lived her entire life in the Niles community and was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
She retired in 2007 after working 23 years in the human resources department at RMI Company. She was a member of St. Stephen Church, the Niles Catholic Womens Club and years ago was an officer with the Warren Junior Military Band. Dotti loved traveling, especially to visit her sons and to Las Vegas. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, golfing, watching local theater productions and musical concerts.
Dotti is survived by her husband Dennis A. Ziegler whom she married on February 13, 1965; two sons, David A. Ziegler of San Francisco, California, Donald A. (Kelly) Ziegler of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Danny Ziegler of Dallas, Texas; sister, Betty Titus of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother, Donald (Sue) Parker of Austintown; sister in law, Leona "Lee" Parker of Niles and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Parker and two brothers, John Parker and Robert Parker.
Calling Hours will be Monday, April 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon at St. Stephen Church. Rev. Thomas Ziegler will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
