Dorothy A. Nader

Dorothy A. Nader , 97, passed away peacefully at 11:25 a.m. on Wednesday June 19, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on October 17, 1926 the daughter of Albert and Marion (Beauchamp) Baril.

Dorothy cherished family gatherings and enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards and traveling to the casino and horse racing. She was a lifetime member of Saint Stephen Church and early in life worked at General Electric, Packard Electric, Queens Grocery store and later with her husband at Charley's Chew Chew in downtown Niles.

Dorothy is survived by five children, Janet "Jan" Nader and her husband Stephen Champagne of Canton, Michigan, Charles (Mary) Nader of Niles, Joel (Debbie) Nader of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anthony (Danielle) Nader of Yorba Linda, California, Rachel Nader and her husband William Schrader of Cortland; five grandchildren, Alyssa Nader of Yorba Linda, California, Emily Schrader and her husband Michael Kelly of Fairlawn, Arica Nader of Oakland, California, Katie Schrader of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lindsay (Kalani) Castro of Kailua, Hawaii; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Cadence Castro and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Paul "Chuck" Nader whom she married on July 14, 1951 and who died on April 20, 2004; four sisters, Lorna Adkins, Katherine Woodward, Alberta Plute, Theresa Novak and brother, Gordon Baril.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday June 24, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at St. Stephen Church preceded by a 12:45 prayer service at the funeral home. At her request, a private burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery.
