Dorothy I. (Tennant) Statler, 78, passed away at 4:58 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center following an unexpected illness. Dorothy was born in Blacksville, West Virginia on March 28, 1943 the daughter of Carl and Hazel Wilson Tennant and came to this area in December of 1966. Dorothy was of the Baptist Faith and graduated in 1961 from Clay-Battelle High School in Blacksville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, crocheting and camping. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her two granddaughters.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Allen Statler Jr. who died March 27, 1987, parents , four brothers and a sister.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Allen Statler whom she married December 23, 1966. They shared 54 years of marriage and many loving memories. Her son, David (Delania) Statler, two granddaughters, Daci Statler, Deena Statler all of Lordstown, two sisters, Florence Burgess of Tennessee and Sue (James) Statler of Daybrook, West Virginia and many extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m with Pastor Jim Weber officiating. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service. Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery.
