Edna Marlene (Gromley) Lipscomb

Edna Marlene "Sis" Lipscomb , 68, passed away peacefully on Friday morning January 17, 2025 at the Mercy Health New Life Hospice in Lorain. She was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on May 10, 1956 the daughter of Arthur J. and Mary (Fleeger) Gromley, she spent most of her life in the Niles Girard area and many years with her husband in Miamisburg, Ohio. Edna was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, watching humming birds and backyard wildlife. She loved horror movies, card games and talking or spending time with her family.

Edna is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roger L. Lipscomb Sr.; four children; Robert J. (Jennifer) Gromley of Girard, Ohio, Roger L. (Heather) Lipscomb Jr. of Vermilion, Ohio, David L. (Carol) Lipscomb of Girard, Ohio, daughter, Debbie J. (Ray) Bartlett of PawPaw, West Virginia; ten grandchildren, Amber, Kara, Alyssa, Stephanie, Jesse, Tara, Alan, Eric, Emily, Sean; nine great grandchildren Destiny, Ethan, Jace, Jayden, Arya, Stephen, Emma, Kelsey and Allison. She also had many cherished sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kris Ann Muncy; grandson, Christopher and nine siblings, Vincent Gromley, Arthur Gromley, Ronald Gromley, Barry Gromley, Edwin Gromley, Joseph Gromley, Robert Gromley, Arla King and Althea Joyce.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles on her birthday this spring, May 10 with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may call from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
