NILES - Edna C. (Brandenstein) Miller, 84, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Mineral Ridge on Nov. 23, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Saar) Brandenstein.
She was a 1950 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School and a longtime member of St. Stephen Church. She began working in the 1950s as a teller at Dollar Savings Bank and later worked at the Security Dollar Bank and Farmers National Bank, where she retired after over 50 years of service. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Frank) Mecozzi of Vienna and Gloria (Paul) Woofter of Ocean View, Hawaii; a grandson; brother Gerald (Marge) Brandenstein of Girard; two sisters, Esther Bogatay of Girard and Ginny (William) Anderson of Girard; and a brother-in-law, Bill Thiry of Cortland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theolous Miller, whom she married on May 10, 1952, and who passed away on June 16, 1992; two brothers, Charles Brandenstein and Robert Brandenstein; and a sister, Rose Thiry.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, where the St. Stephen bereavement ministry will have a 3:30 p.m. prayer service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. The Rev. James Korda will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.
