CORTLAND - Elizabeth V. Tillery,
91, passed away peacefully at 3:40 pm Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the
Vista Care at the Ridge. She was born in Connellsville,
Pennsylvania on April 17, 1921 the daughter of Frank and Margaret
(Pervay) Dorchock.
A 1938 graduate of Niles McKinley High School,
she retired in 1977 after working 22 years as a short order
operator at Packard Electric Company. She was a member of St.
Robert Bellarmine Church, Cortland and enjoyed baking, canning,
making jelly and especially cooking Hungarian Dishes. For
several years she and her husband lived in Florida and previously
lived in Cortland.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Woodrow
"Woody" Tillery Sr. whom she married on March 30, 1940; two
daughters, Jacqueline (James) Domer and Sallie Pearce both of
Cortland; son, Woody (Gayle) Tillery Jr. of Austintown; eight
grandchildren, T. Brad (Leah) Franken of Cortland, Corey B. Franken
of Dayton, Amy S. (Jamie) Harris of Virginia Beach, Virginia,
Jaclyn (Casey) Branham of Columbus, Emily (David) Kline of Raleigh,
North Carolina, Terri (Ron) Wentworth of Cochranton, Pennsylvania,
James Domer of Champion, Mark Domer of Youngstown; ten great
grandchildren, Ryan, Brandi, Ashley, Baylee, Olivia, Kate, Shawn,
Chuckie, Morgan, C.J.; two great great grandchildren, Olivia and
Ainsley.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James
Dorchock and three sisters, Ann Mattila, Margaret Borocz, Evelyn
Disko.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April
12, 2012 at 4:30 pm at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Rev.
Carl Kish will be the celebrant.
