Fred G. Jones

NILES - Fred G. Jones, 75, died Thursday evening July 17, 2014 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born in Niles on September 12, 1938 the son of Kenneth and Mildred (Tucker) Jones. He was a Niles McKinley High School graduate and attended Barber School. He was member and custodian for the Evansville Baptist Church in Mineral Ridge. He was also a self-employed apartment owner, property manager and barber. He was a church Deacon, Trustee, Leader of song, a mentor to many people in the church family and enjoyed reading. Fred is survived by a longtime special friend, Rosemarie Clover of Niles; two nephews, Bruce Stephen Jones of Jupiter, Florida, Douglas (Megan) Jones of Niles; niece, Stephanie Anne Jones of Niles, two great-nieces Alexandria and Eileen J.M. Jones. He was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth Albert Jones and Bruce Richard Jones. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Evansville Baptist Church where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
