Giovanni B. Piccarreta

NILES - Giovanni B. Piccarreta, 86, died at 3:15 am on Friday December 5, 2014 at the Vista Care at the Ridge. He was born in Rhodes, Greece on March 21, 1928 the son of Giacinto and Katherine (Markopolos) Piccarreta. He was an estimator for 30 years at Wean United and retired in 1985. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles. Giovanni is survived by two daughters, Nadia (Dennis) Logar of McDonald, Katherine (Chuck) May of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Mackin, Sarah Logar, Paul Logar, Dante Spala, Charise Spala; three great granddaughters, Olivia Mackin, Isabella Spala, Samantha Spala; half brother, Franco Piccarreta of Switzerland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bianca (Santi) Piccarreta whom he married on August 25, 1951 and who died on May 17, 2003 and three sisters.
