NILES - Hazel E. Williams, 91, passed away Saturday afternoon May 24, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Freeville, New York on February 19, 1923 the daughter of George D. and Maude (Kincaid) James and came to Mineral Ridge as a baby. She lived her entire life in this area.
A 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Niles. She was a homemaker and lived for her family, taking great pride in the achievements of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her little dog "Coco", collecting wind chimes that her grandson, Bob bought her and her beautiful flowers.
She leaves to mourn her passing a son, Robert D. Williams; three daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Werden, Patricia Williams, Lori (James) Julian all of Niles; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Shawn) Crank of Niles, Ryan (Kristen) Werden of Willoughby Hills, Robert A. Williams, Jim Julian, Chris Julian and Katie Julian all of Niles; four great grandchildren, Nathan and Brianna Crank and Calvin and Teagan Werden; sister, Betty J. Gregg of Niles.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Williams whom she married on May 23, 1946 and who died on February 14, 2008 and a sister Dorothy M. James.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 10 to noon at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
