Howard E. Mccune

WARREN - Howard Everett McCune Sr., 76, passed away unexpectedly at 9:28pm, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center Belmont Campus emergency room. Howard was born in Middlebourne, West Virginia on October 16, 1937, the son of Everett and Geneva (Birch) McCune. Howard came to this area many years ago and retired in 1982 as a laborer from the United States Steel Company, McDonald works where he was employed for 17 years. He was a member of the Niles Christian Assembly and over the years enjoyed the many large family gatherings. Howard is survived by his third wife the former Daisy Poling whom he married several years ago, his children, Lillian Sarvey of Girard, Connie Jo (Allen) Broadwater of Hartford, Archie McCune of Howland, Shelly (Bruce) Cozad of Bartow, Fl., Carolyn (Tommy) Davis of McDonald, Howard McCune Jr. of Niles, James (Connie) Hardesty of Middlebourne, WV., Lawrence (Kimberly) Hardesty of McDonald, Yulanda Hardesty of Warren, Russell (Teresa) Hardesty of Clio, Mi., Mabel Hardesty of Lake City, Fl., Kathy (John) Kellar of Middleburg, Fl., Raymond Miller Jr. of Mineral Ridge, Loretta (Bill) Fisher of Chester, WV., many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, first wife the former Carol Mayhew, second wife the former Elizabeth Mae Miller, sister, Peggy Watson and granddaughter, Jessice McCune. Calling hours are Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Niles Christian Assembly, North Road, Niles, where calling hours will be from 10:00am until the time of services. Pastor John Mizgerd and Pastor Garey McCartney will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
