Jacqueline Ann Hosa

Jacqueline Ann Hosa, 84, passed away peacefully at 9:46 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home, Howland following a long illness. Jackie, as she was affectionately known, was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on January 27, 1938 the daughter of Charles and JoAnn (Davies) Rohrer and lived in this area all her life.

Jackie was a 1955 graduate of Sharon High School and was employed for many years in the accounts payable department for the Lyden Oil Company of Youngstown. She was a member of Saint Stephen Church, and lovingly cared for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing computer games and flower and vegetable gardening. She cherished the time spent at her grandchildrens' sporting events and school performances.

Jackie is survived by her four children, Elizabeth (Jeffery) Olszewski of Warren, Thomas James (Jennifer) Hosa Jr. of Bedford, Texas, John Scott (Connie) Hosa of West Chester, Sue Coppola of Howland; grandchildren, Andrew Olszewski, Jade Hosa and Kyle Robbins, Savannah and Danny Zitkovic, Sal Coppola Jr. and Allie Erro, Adriana Coppola and Marcos Walker, Michael Coppola and Jenna Jewett; four great grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Vickie) Rohrer of Cortland; sister, Charlene Ostheimer of Sharon; sister-in-law, Anne Rohrer of Williamsville, New York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hosa Sr. whom she married October 26, 1957 and who passed away on December 30, 2019; granddaughter, Annie Olszewski; two brothers, Robert Rohrer and infant John Rohrer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Saint Stephen Church. Calling hours will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the funeral mass. The Rev. Richard Murphy will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
