Janet K. Pierson

NILES - Janet K. Pierson 76, passed away on Friday morning November 12, 2021 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Sutton, West Virginia on July 5, 1945 the daughter of Charles D. and Delphia (Stalnaker) Facemire.

Janet was a 1963 graduate of Sutton WV High School and was an aide at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing games on her Ipad, playing the lottery and instant scratch off tickets. Most of all, she cherished all the activities with her family and grandchildren.

A kind hearted and giving person, she is survived by her husband Earl Howard Pierson whom she married on September 4, 1966; three children, Lisa (Martin) Linton of Austintown, Pam Joseph and her fiance David Manna of Niles, Greg Pierson at home; eight grandchildren, Nichole (Nick) Iamurri, Brittney (Joe) Murray, Jenna (Patrick) Joseph, Tyler Joseph, Morgan Joseph and her fiance Kyle Gregorich, Matt Manna, Allie Manna, Dustin Pierson; seven great grandchildren, Arieonna, Anita, Demi, Liam, Juju, Hayes, Hudson; two brothers, Roger W. (Cherie) Facemire of Orlando, Florida, Ronald L. (May) Facemire of Sutton, West Virginia; and sister, Brenda McClain of Newton Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ralph Facemire and sister, Phyllis J. Tinney.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor G. Ben Reed of the First Baptist Church officiating.
