Jeanette I. Barnes

Jeanette I. Barnes, 88, passed away on Saturday morning August 29, 2026 at Heritage Manor in Liberty. She was born March 12, 1938 in Niles, Ohio the daughter of John and Margaret (Reindle) German and lived in the Niles community her entire life.

Jeanette devoted her life to her loving family and her faith. She was a member of the Niles Christian Assembly and later in life active at the Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty. She loved to participate in all of the church activities.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Karen (David) Evans of Niles, Kathy (Michael) Sabella of Easley, South Carolina, Donna (Fred) Belko of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, David Alan (Christy) Barnes of Longs, South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a special niece, Gloria Davis of San Bernardino, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joe Barnes whom she married on March 28, 1955 and who passed away on October 11, 1996; two sons, Robert Kenneth “Kenny” Barnes, Danny Ray Barnes; sisters, Margaret Ellen Budd, Dorothy Weslowski and brother Anton John German.

A private family service was held at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home 126 West Park Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446 330-652-4311. Burial was in Pineview Cemetery.
