Joann James

NILES - Joann James, 72, died at 2:06 pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born in Warren on November 16, 1940 the daughter of Harry and Helen (Leos) James Sr. A graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she retired from General Motors in Lordstown.  She enjoyed walking her three pet dogs and loved boating, fishing, working in her yard and the beaches. Joann is survived by three sisters, Millie Hutton of Gulfort, Mississippi, Helen Mahon of Cortland, Audrey Michaels of Niles; two brothers, Angelo James and Harry James Jr. both of Niles; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary, Anna, Pauline and a brother, Chris. Rev. Constantine Valantasis of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren had a prayer service on Wednesday with members of the family at her bedside at Hospice House in Poland.
