JoAnn Pressell , 81, formerly of Niles passed away on Saturday evening, December 7, 2024 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center. She was born in Warren, Ohio on July 15, 1943 the daughter of Galen and Ruth Marie (Ellsworth) Woods.
JoAnn was a 1961 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School and a member of the Niles First Christian Church. She was an assembler at Packard Electric and retired after thirty years as a Howland Local School bus driver. JoAnn loved spending time with her family, including her in-laws (Donald, Sandy and Eileen) who were better known as "the outlaws". She enjoyed all animals, especially dogs and cats, cooking, traveling, reading and shopping and playing cards.
JoAnn is survived by a daughter, Lynn Marie (Scott) Armour of Grove City, Ohio; son, Richard (Shelly) Pressell of Warren; four grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin, Erin, Faith; brother, James Woods of Cleveland; sister, Colleen Jarman of Mineral Ridge and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin F. Pressell Jr.; son, Benjamin Franklin Pressell III; brother, Vincent Woods and sister, Gale Mroczek.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday December 14, 2024 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Christopher Stark will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League in Vienna or LifeBanc in Cleveland.
