NILES - JoAnn Mae Thompson, 83, entered into the presence of the Lord at 12:59 p.m. on Thursday March 24, 2016 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving sons.
She was born in Niles, Ohio on August 8, 1932 the daughter of John H. and Marguerite (Donohue) McIntire and lived in this community her entire life.
After 28 years, JoAnn retired from Packard Electric Company where she was an assembler. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church and enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, reading, yard work and tending to her flower garden.
JoAnn is survived by four sons, Dewayne Frank (Martha) McCullough of Brandon, Mississippi, Daniel Lee (Colleen) McCullough of Howland, William John McCullough of Weathersfield Township, Richard Thomas (Alice) McCullough of Niles; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thompson whom she married on April 15, 1988 and who died in 1993 and a sister, Betty Quinn.
Calling hours will be Monday, March 28, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Christian Mission of the donor's choice.
