John David Saxon, 70, passed away on Thursday June 26, 2025 at his home in Alpharetta, Georgia following an extended illness. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 1, 1955 the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Spisak) Saxon.
John was a 1973 graduate of Warren John F. Kennedy High School. He moved to Florida in the 1980's and from there spent time in North Carolina, St. Louis, Missouri and made Alpharetta, Georgia his home for the past five years. John was kindhearted, generous, had a lust for life and he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was an avid shopper, loved clothes and was up to date on all the latest trends. He also loved music and enjoyed to dance. John or "Johnnie" as we called him will be greatly missed along with his laughter and quick wit. He will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
Johnnie is survived by four brothers, Michael J. (Debbie) Saxon of St. Louis, Missouri, Dale Saxon of Alpharetta, Georgia, Stephen (Beth) Saxon of Alpharetta, Georgia, Paul (Angela) Saxon of Wellington, Florida; sister, Karen Saxon of Youngstown, Ohio; seven nephews, four nieces, four great nephews, five great nieces and five great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; oldest brother, Joseph and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Jane; and nephew Nick Wiery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Saint Pope John XXIII - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, Ohio. Rev. Leo Wehrlin will be the celebrant. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley.
