Junior Allen Miller

MC DONALD - Junior Allen Miller, 90, passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Monday June 20, 2016 at the Hospice House in Poland following complications of pneumonia. He was born at home near Kingwood, West Virginia on May 6, 1926 the son of Worley F. and Essie (Hartley) Miller Sr. Junior moved to the Hilltop area of Weathersfield Township in 1951 from Tunnelton, West Virginia. He was an United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in the 1st Infantry. For 31 years he worked as an inspector at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube and retired in 1982. He was of the Apostolic faith, a member of the VFW Post 419 of Girard and the Girard American Legion 235. Junior is survived by two sons, William (Brenda Bryan) Miller of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Claude (Tina) Miller of McDonald; two daughters, Bridget (Gary) Easterling of Austintown, Erica (Joe) Rakarich of Niles; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren whom he never saw or even knew their names; three brothers, John (Edith) Spiker of Tunnelton, West Virginia, Russell (Patricia) Miller of Girard, Worley (Tammy) Miller Jr. of Kingwood, West Virginia; five sisters, Geraldine LaRue of Gladesville, West Virginia, Freda (Joseph) Santangelo of Youngstown, Sandy (Gary) Fazenbaker of Morgantown, West Virginia, Connie DeWitt of Albright, West Virginia, Debbie Miller of Kingwood, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Sigley) Miller whom he married on May 7, 1951 and who passed away on May 1, 2014; three sons, Gerald Miller, Wayne Miller, Glenn Miller; five sisters, Maxine C. Carr, Flossie Simms, Ruby Mason, Bonnie Kohn, Pauline Sue Miller; brother, Delmas Miller; stepmother, Violet Miller and grandson, Jimmy A. Miller. Calling Hours will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Garey McCartney of the Galilee Apostolic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Girard City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
