Katherine J Nykiel

MINERAL RIDGE - Katherine J. "Kate" or "Froggy" Nykiel, 92, of Mineral Ridge and formerly of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, died at 5:30 pm on Saturday July 11, 2015. She was born June 4, 1923 the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Hibar) Kramar. She is survived by a sister in law, Grace Kramar; brother in law, Henry Nykiel; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Nykiel; brother, Joseph Kramar; five sisters, Ann Filchock, Rose Faulk, Mitzie Brandstetter, Jenny Ometz and Delores Tekavec. Calling Hours will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pennsylvania. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
