NILES - Luther Edward Foster Sr., 84, passed away peacefully at 8:33 am on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Niles on July 20, 1930 the son of John B. and Pearl Mae (Garvin) Foster. He was an United States Army and Army Reserves Veteran. He retired in 1992 after working 28 years as a welder in the maintenance department at Copperweld Steel. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church, Warren Moose Lodge 186, Niles Army and Navy Garrison 252, Niles Amvets 106 and the VFW in Florida. Luther is survived by his wife Lula C. (Clay) Foster whom he married December 17, 1960, three sons, Luther E. (Kathy) Foster Jr. of Niles, Scott E. (LeAnne) Foster Sr. of Clover, South Carolina, Mark E. (Jodi) Foster of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven grandchildren, Chad, Carrie, Scott Jr., Sireena, Cody, Hunter, Kayla; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Cox of Warren, Edith (Jim) Skillman of Lordstown; four brothers, John (Arlene) Foster of Counce, Tennessee, Gene (Rosemary) Foster of Niles, Jackie Foster of Niles, Thomas (Naomi) Foster of Warren; sister in law, Jeannie Scott of Niles. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Doc Foster, James A. Foster Sr., Pete Scott, sister, Charlene Ramer. At his request there will be no calling hours or funeral services, burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park. Arrangements by Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, 126 West Park Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446
