Margaret K. Cope

NILES - Margaret K. "Marge" Cope, 88, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday November 10, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman. She was born in Alliance on August 9, 1928 the daughter of Carmen and Mary (Campanelli) Perrino. She was a graduate of DAHS in Lisbon and a member of St. Stephen Church. Since 1962, Margaret was the owner and operator of the Niles Dairy Queen. Throughout the years and generations of families, she and her husband appreciated and enjoyed the time with their customers at the Dairy Queen, a downtown Niles Landmark. She loved playing bingo, reading and also cherished the time spent at family activities. Marge is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. "Sandy" Cope and Jahn Huston of Niles; sister, Edith Miller of Salem; brother, Raymond (RuthAnn) Perrino of Lisbon and several wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert P. Cope whom she married on December 3, 1950 and who died on August 11, 2000; two sisters, Caroline "Lee" Warner, Mary Novak and a brother, Anthony Perrino. Calling Hours will be Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Service of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Korda will officiate. Entombment will be in the family crypt at Niles City Cemetery.
