NILES - Marianne Kaley, 82, died
at 3:39 pm on Thursday May 2, 2013 at the Trumbull Memorial
Hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Warren, Ohio on May 5, 1930 the
daughter of John L. and Anne B. (Walsh) Kaley and lived in the
Niles community all her life.
She was a graduate of St. Stephen Elementary
School, Niles McKinley High School and Kent State University with a
Bachelors of Science and Master Degrees in Education. She
retired after 20 years as a fourth grade school teacher in the
Warren City School System. A member of St. Stephen Church,
she was an avid Notre Dame Fan, golfer, bridge player and loved and
provided for animals.
Marianne is survived by a longtime special
friend, James Frech of Niles; brother, James (Bobbye Ann) Kaley of
Albuquerque, New Mexico; four nieces, Judith Kaley, Jill (Steve)
Leach, Lydia Parmenter, Andrea Kaley; two nephews, James Kevin
(Kathy) Kaley, David Kaley; three grand-nieces; two grand-nephews;
one great grand-niece and her dog, Fred.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from
12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeal Home. Mass
of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at St. Stephen
Church. Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant. Burial
will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Society
for the Blind to assist in the training of guide dogs, to the
Canine Companions for Independence, or Angels for Animals.
