Mary Ellen Clark

McDONALD - Mary Ellen Clark, 89, passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Paisley House, Youngstown. Mary was born in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania on December 15, 1926 the daughter of Jasper and Mary E. (Young) Ross. Mary retired from the Youngstown City Hospital Association where she was employed for 20 years in the dietary department of Southside Hospital. She was a member of the Galilee Apostolic Church and enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting and reading. Mary is survived by a son, Russell Clark and his wife Loraine of McDonald; three grandchildren, Rachelle Schneiter, Jeffrey Schneiter, Chasity Breetz; great-granddaughter Zoey Schneiter. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Henry W. Clark whom she married on March 15, 1945 and who died in June 1982; son Charles W. Clark who died in May 1989; an infant grandson and two brothers Russell Ross and Jasper "Sonny" Ross. The Funeral will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. Pastor Garey McCartney will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. to the time of the services. Private burial will be in Kerr Cemetery on Wednesday. The family gives a special Thank You to the wonderful staff at Paisley House for their compassionate care they extended to Mary for the past five years.
