Mary E. Parker

PORTSMOUTH - Mary E. Parker, 51, died at 12:05 pm on Thursday March 28, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following complications of a stroke. She was born in Warren on June 16, 1961 the daughter of Everett and Minnie Edith (Smith) Parker.  She was the devoted Director of the CAO Head Start Program.  She was passionate about rescuing dogs, an avid Ohio State fan and she loved to shop at yard sales. Mary is survived by a son, Daniel Parker of Portsmouth; brother, Paul (Beatrice) Parker of Niles; two nephews, Jason (Johanna) Parker of Mayfield Village, Erik (Wendi) Parker of Girard and her loving companions, Gui, Bear, Duncan, Lillie and Ella. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Diane Porter Williams officiating.  Burial will be Wednesday in Niles City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SOABDC, 1033 Cramer Road, Lucasville, Ohio 45648
