Mary Ann Wolfe

GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - Mary Ann (McKenzie) Wolfe, 46, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 6, 2017 in her home in Greenville, North Carolina. She formerly lived in Niles and Akron. Mary was born in Warren, Ohio on August 14, 1971 the daughter of James Robert and Mary Frances (Coiner) McKenzie. She was a 1989 honors graduate of Niles McKinley High School and continued her education at Kent State University where she earned her Masters degree in Geology. Mary was an accomplished geologist employed by Arcadis North America and her work often took her around the country. She was very passionate about the environment. Mary was dedicated to her Faith and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband, children and family. Her quote was, "A wife, a mother, a God-fearing woman who's flawed like no other, a lover and a fighter to the end." Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Alan "Rob" Wolfe whom she married on December 14, 2013; three children, Megan M. Wolfe, Ryan R. Wolfe, Emerson R. Wolfe, all of Greenville, North Carolina; mother and step-father, Mary F. and Howard C. Lamb Sr. of Niles; two brothers, James R. McKenzie of Mentor, Howard C. (Shelly) Lamb Jr. of Niles; sister, Christine Ann (Keith) Fisher of Niles; grandmother, Loraine F. Coiner of Austintown and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who deeply loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, James R. McKenzie; grandfather, John L. Coiner; grandparents George and Mildred McKenzie; great-grandparents Roy and Letha Miller. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at noon at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Trent Thompson will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service at Aulizio's Banquet Center 4395 Youngstown Road SE, Warren, Ohio 44484 for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942.
