Mary Alice Zucco

NILES - Mary Alice Zucco, 63, passed away peacefully at 9:39 pm, Friday, November 8, 2013 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania following a four year illness. Alice was born in Warren, Ohio on May 31, 1950 the daughter of Thomas H. and Mary E. (Stephens) Holbrook and has lived in Niles all her life. Alice was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a member of the Niles Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, and especially spending quality time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband James P. Zucco whom she married on April 30, 1969, son Joe (Lara) Zucco of Niles; step-son, Michael (Malissa) Magda of Sugar Hill, Georgia; her mother, Mary Holbrook, sister, Bonnie (James) Sarber, brother, John (Nicole) Holbrook Sr. all of Niles. Eight grandchildren, Brooke and Hannah Zucco, Alex Lipp, Katelin and Mikayla Smith, Mike, Amanda and Gracie Magda, great-grandson, Christian Magda, and several nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her father on December 30, 1977, brother Henry Thomas Holbrook on October 5, 1998, sister Carol Jean Madsen on June 22, 2010 and her grandparents. Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. A private burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.
