Matthew James Singelis

WARREN - Matthew James Singelis, 31, was called Home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday afternoon March 26, 2017 at his home in Warren. He was born in Warren, Ohio on June 12, 1985 the son of James and Renee L. (Johnson) Singelis. He was a Howland High School graduate and attended the University of Akron. Matthew was a licensed Realtor in Flint, Michigan and moved back to Ohio, where he started and operated New Day Auto Loans in Boardman. He loved to fish, ride ATV's and drive sport cars. Matthew was the life of New Day Auto Loans and loved selling vehicles to everyone, he never met a stranger and his customers and co-workers loved him. Matthew would go out of his way to help everyone, he often would pick up customers who did not have a car and get the joy of seeing them drive away in their new car. He was a member of the Family Life Church, which his Grandfather and Grandmother founded in 1981. He attended church and got to see his family the Sunday morning before he passed. Matthew is survived by his loving parents, James Singelis and Renee (Richard) Gelum; his children, Elijah and Raiden; brother, Nicholas (Rebecca) Singelis II; nephews and nieces, Nicholas Singelis III, Eleanor Eden Singelis, Alexandria V. Farhat, Mason Jefferson Singelis; grandmother, Ezell Johnson of Niles; aunts, Bernadette (Kurt) Beler of Canfield, Elizabeth Singelis of Warren, Amelia Liakaris of Warren, Pearl Singelis of Warren, Sharmain Philips of Howland, Michelle (Roger) LaBar of Suffield; uncle Jeffery A. Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska and 23 wonderful cousins. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nicholas and Betty Singelis; grandfather, Bishop George E. Johnson; uncle Ernest "Buddy" Singelis and nephew, Luke Singelis. Calling hours will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Family Life Church 32 Linden Avenue, Niles. The Funeral will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the church where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
