Maureen Elizabeth Kutsch

NILES - Maureen Elizabeth Kutsch 73, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center. She was born in Warren, Ohio on March 24, 1948 the daughter of Walter F. and Audrey (Cornwell) Ziegler Sr. and lived in this community her entire life. She attended Niles McKinley High School and was a Resident Aide at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home for many years. Maureen loved bowling, spending time on Facebook, playing bubble blast and candy crush on her phone, gambling and traveling to Las Vegas. She enjoyed collecting books and reading with her cup of black coffee. She was a talented crafter who made beautiful wreaths and a wonderful cook who enjoyed holiday dinners. Her dogs or firbabies were her everything to her. Chico who sadly passed away and Bubba who misses her dearly. For many years she was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Maureen is survived by two sons, Lee R. (Marye) Hanshaw of Warren, Joseph A. Hanshaw of Niles; daughter, Sherry (Robert) Flynn of Atlanta, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Jeff Hanshaw whom she raised, Vicky Hanshaw, Amanda Stout Hanshaw, Nick Hanshaw, Lori Wyland, Ashley Price Hanshaw, Brittany Holland, Zariah Flynn, Joseph Hanshaw; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Walter F. Ziegler Jr. of Niles. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Kutsch who died November 27, 1999; daughter, Lisa Hanshaw Wyland who died February 1, 2012, and sister, Beverly Roth who died January 10, 2021. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Ziegler will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery. After the funeral all are welcome for a 1:00 p.m. lunch and gathering at the Ali Baba Grotto Hall, 760 Perkins Jones Road, Bazetta Township, Warren.
