Michael G. Mcmahon Jr.

Michael George McMahon Jr. , 76, passed away peacefully following a short illness at 3:21 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the St. Joseph Health Center, Warren. Michael was born in Warren, Ohio on March 10, 1949 the son of Michael George and Helen Marie (O'Brien) McMahon Sr. and has lived in the community his entire life.

Michael retired in 2009 as a tow motor operator for the Niles Expanded Metals Company with over 40 years of faithful service. He was a lifelong member of Saint Pope John XXIII Church - Saint Stephen Church and graduate of Saint Stephen's School. He graduated in 1967 from Niles McKinley High School. He enjoyed Niles McKinley Red Dragon Athletics and was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. Mike was an avid music fan - he loved going to concerts and had an extensive CD collection. He was a loving "Papa" to his three grandchildren and he was very proud of his Irish heritage.

Michael is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Barker McMahon whom he married December 23, 1978; two sons: Michael Charles (Danielle) McMahon of Columbus, Timothy Patrick McMahon of Niles; three grandchildren, Shawn McMahon, Miles and Paige McMahon; sister, Kathleen (George) Mocker of Howland and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia McMahon who died November 22, 2021.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Saint Stephen Church preceded by a 11:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Rev. Bala Marneni will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Saint Stephen Cemetery.
