Millie Pollock

NILES - Millie Pollock, 101, 1500 McKinley Avenue, died on Thursday February 6, 2014 at 3:33 am the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born in Carbon, Pennsylvania on August 24, 1912 the daughter of Frank and Mary (Sepich) Ketchel. Since 1984 she has made Shepherd of the Valley her home. She was a member of the Niles First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing bingo and all activities at Shepherd of the Valley. Millie is survived by two sons, Norman (Barbara) Pollock of Howland, Ronald (Patricia) Pollock of Niles, niece, Joyce Williams of Niles. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth J. Pollock whom she married on April 12, 1937 and who died on August 16, 1983; daughter, Marcia Mason who died on August 2, 2010; two brothers, Frank Kucel, Thomas Kucel and a sister, Dorothy Ribarich. The funeral will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Rusty Cowden of the Warren First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
