Patricia Ann Hines

Patricia Ann Hines , 83, passed away peacefully at 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Hospice House in Poland following an extended illness.

Patricia was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1941 the daughter of John George and Hilda Elizabeth (Turk) Popadak. Patricia has lived in the Niles community for many years and was an active member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish - Saint Stephen Church where she was a member of the church choir, the Niles Catholic Womens Club and a St. Vincent dePaul Society volunteer. For many years, she was a baker at various bakeries in the Mahoning Valley. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed reading, flower gardening and was an animal champion.

Patricia is survived by her son, Phillip (Lorie) Hines of Sharon, Pennsylvania and two grandchildren Gio and Cole Travaglino; brother-in-law, Thomas Harkless; nephew, John Harkless; niece, Stacy Solomon, and many longtime great neighbor friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Phillip Hines whom she married October 29, 1966 and who passed away on January 30, 2015; an only sister, Charlotte Harkless.

Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday July 17, 2025 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. at Saint Stephen Church. The Rev. Leo Wehrlin will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Vienna.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Saint Pope John XXIII Parish - Saint Stephen Church in her memory.
