NILES - Pauline Mary Harris, 84, passed away peacefully at 2:55 am on Monday January 26, 2015 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in Niles on December 5, 1930 the daughter of Ignace and Jennie (Dolence) Logar and lived in this community her entire life.
She was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and after 25 years she retired in 1989 as an assemblier at Packard Electric Company. She was a member of St. Stephen Church and the Slovenian Women's Lodge. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, fresh flower arranging and tending to her flower gardens. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and family.
Pauline is survived by two daughters, Martha (Tim) Johnson of Niles, Linda (James) Pappada of Niles; son, William (Brenda) Harris of Mineral Ridge; ten grandchildren, David (Karlene) Pappada, Marc (Stephanie) Pappada, James (Stacey) Pappada, Chris Harris, Brian (Janelle) Harris, Erin (James) Marion, JoAnne Johnson, Jeanette Johnson, William Harris, Nathan Harris; ten great grandchildren; twin sister, Jennie Novak of Howland; daughter in law, Pearl Harris of Hunting Beach, California
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Harris whom she married on August 14, 1948 and who died on December 1, 1997; son, George E. Harris who died on October 13, 2009; four sisters, Elizabeth Havaich, Frances Stanec, Mary Visnosky, Justine Brauer; seven brothers, William Logar, Andrew Logar, Edward Logar, Frank Logar, Ignace Logar, John Logar, John Dolence.
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
