NILES - Ray Thornsberry, 91, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday November 25, 2018 at the Windsor House in Champion.
  He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on April 2, 1927 the son of Harve and Ida (Lykins) Thornsberry. He honorably served in the United States Army during World War II and attended the Faith Baptist Church in Niles. Ray retired in 1992 after working 22 years on the assembly line at General Motors Lordstown. He enjoyed watching professional boxing, traveling, vegetable gardening and especially cherished the activities with his family. Ray loved to spend time outdoors and frequent walks around town.
  Ray is survived by his wife, Christine (Hodge) Thornsberry whom he married on July 7, 1951; daughter, Pauline Redfoot of Masury; two grandchildren, Vickie (Jon) Wooden of Howland, Vince (Wendy) Ingles of Canfield; four great-grandchildren, Maxwell Earl, Leyla Ingles, Christina Rae Ingles, Sophia Ingles.
  He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Eula Crisp, Elva Barker, Leonard, Everett, Ervin, Arlie, Estil, Ernest, Glen Thornsberry.
  Calling hours will be Thursday November 29, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Lenny Towle will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery with Military Honors from the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
