Raymond D. Schroeder

Raymond D. Schroeder, 78, died on Friday May 12, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 15, 1945 the son of George L. and Evelyn R. (Prescott) Schroeder. Ray was an United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam and was a member of the Ohio National Guard. He retired in October of 2007 as the safety director for Regal Transportation of Niles. He also was an Ohio Notary Public and drove truck for many years. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the National Rifle Association (NRA). He enjoyed reading the newspaper, history and politics.

Ray is survived by his siblings, Maggie, Ann, Cathy, Laura, Rita and Richard. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna (Nguyen) Schroeder whom he married on July 20, 1968 and who died on February 28, 2019 and brother Bill.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
