Richard D. Eldridge

NILES - Richard D. Eldridge, 63, passed away peacefully at 1:37 pm on Monday October 20, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital Boardman following an extended illness. He was born in Youngstown on September 5, 1951 the son of Richard V. and Ellen Alice (Engle) Eldridge. He was a 1969 graduate of McDonald High School and attend Westminster College. For over 30 years, Rick worked as a dispatcher in the steel and heavy hauling industry and currently was working at Ohio Intra Express. He enjoyed all sports, avidly watching and competitively playing all types from golf to softball. Rick is survived by his wife Jeanne (Gentile) Eldridge whom he married on October 17, 1981; two brothers, Bradley T. Eldridge of Rome, New York, Christian M. Eldridge of McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan Eldridge. Calling Hours will be Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Service of Christian Burial will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home. Rev. James Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
