Richard Scott Thompson

McDONALD - Richard Scott Thompson, 32, was called home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2014. He was born in Warren on June 10, 1982 the son of Richard E. and Paula (Brain) Thompson Jr. He was a 2000 graduate of Champion High School and received an Associate Degree in Computers and Electronics Technology from ITT Technical School. He was employed at Laird Technologies in Warren. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and an Associate Lifetime Member of the Trumbull County unit of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Rick leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Allyson "Ally" whom he married on October 18, 2014, who deeply loved and adored him along with his daughters, Chloe and Camden; mother, Paula (Don) Griffin; father, Richard E. (Bonnie) Thompson Jr.; sister, Nicole Schriner; grandmother, Kathryn Brain; mother in law, Joan Miles; father in law, Bill (Lenore) Miles; step-sister, Lauren (Brian) Patton; brothers in law, Brian (Nicole) Miles, Craig (Susan) Miles, Chris (Janis) Schulay; sister in law, Melissa (David) Kowalski. Uncle Ricky will be dearly missed by Gavin, Gracie, Brayden, Blake, and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Mary Hill; grandparents, Richard and Betty Thompson Sr.; cousin, Jason Morrow and his beloved dog, Brewster. Calling Hours will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church. A celebration of his life service will follow at 1 p.m. with Senior Pastor Roy Mack officiating. In lieu of flowers, with Rick's love for the Lord and devotion to the youth, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church, 2150 Niles-Cortland Road, Warren, Ohio 44484.
