Rita M. Massaro

Rita M. Massaro, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening May 14, 2022 at the Warren Nursing and Rehab. Rita was born in Masury, Ohio on March 29, 1934 the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Modarelli) Furillo.

She was a 1953 graduate of Brookfield High School and a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles. Rira enjoyed the activities of the Niles SCOPE center where she was an active member and she enjoyed playing bingo.

Rita is survived by two daughters, Debbie Reese of Warren, Karen (Richard) Miller of Niles; four grandchildren, Jason (Sharon) Reese, Amanda Keen, Anthony (Julie) Holbrook, Gregory Holbrook; nine great grandchildren, Michael Keen, Allura Reese, Ariana Holbrook, McKenzie Holbrook, Dominic Holbrook, Carmine Holbrook, Cayleb Holbrook, Bryant Holbrook, and Zackory Holbrook.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Massaro whom she married on August 31, 1957 and who died on July 17, 2001; three sisters, Katherine Serban, Phyllis Palumbo, Josephine Jones and a brother Michael Furillo.

A Service of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Murphy will officiate. Entombment will be in Pineview Cemetery.
