Robert Gene Bullock

Robert Gene Bullock, 88, passed away on Sunday September 18, 2022 at his home. He was born in Warren, Ohio on July 27, 1934 the son of Alfred "Bill" and Lela (Jones) Bullock and lived in the Niles community most of his life.

Robert was a 1953 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Army. He retired in 1999 after working 40 years in the maintenance department at General Electric - Ohio Lamp Plant in Warren. Bob shared with everyone that "I made light bulbs." He was an active lifetime member of the Niles First United Methodist Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was a proud member and former board member of Local 722 IUECWA where he also served as the Union Counselor. He loved camping, family gatherings and most of all he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by four children, Richard (Sharon) Bullock of Niles, Beth Ripple of Boardman, Pamela (John) Valentino of Littleton, Colorado, James Bullock of Warren; six grandchildren, Stephen Bullock, Ryan (Matt) Bullock, Andrew Ripple, Kyle Ripple, Christian Valentino, William Bullock; great grandson Benjamin Bullock; brother, Richard "Dick" (Helen "Joan") Bullock of Cary, North Carolina; sister-in-law Carolyn Lorent and brother-in-law Richard (Pat) Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Anne (Robinson) Bullock whom he married on July 11, 1959 and who died on August 13, 2020; brother, Rev. William Bullock; sister, Margaret Crow; mother-in-law Alfreda Robinson.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Shane Russo will officiate.
