Robert R. Carpenter

Robert Ray Carpenter , 74, passed away peacefully at 4:35 a.m. on Sunday August 11, 2024 at the Washington Square Nursing Home. He was born in Warren, Ohio on December 17, 1949 the son of Leroy and Georgia (Cline) Carpenter and lived in this area most of his life.

He was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked at Rider Services, Allied Metals, Autumn Industries and retired from the maintenance department at Covelli Properties. Robert attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved animals and supported and donated to several animal charities.

Robert is survived by a sister, Donna Jean (Donald) Mayer of Cortland; step-sister, Kathy (Don) Gadd of Niles; step-mother, Bertha Crank Carpenter of Niles; his best friends, Martin Feidler Jr. and Linda Perkins of Champion; uncle and aunt Thomas and Sandy Cline of Mineral Ridge. He was preceded i n death by his parents; son, Jeffrey Carpenter and brother, Jimmy Carpenter.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. The funeral will follow at noon. Rev. Douglas Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery with military honors provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
