Robert Edward Nelson

GIRARD - Robert Edward Nelson, 90, died at 9:45 pm on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home, Boardman. He was born in Eldora, Pennsylvania on October 28, 1924 the son of John and Irene (Stevenson) Nelson. Robert honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He retired in 1991 after working many years as a real estate and car salesman in the Mahoning Valley. He was a ranger at the Trumbull Country Club and enjoyed golfing with his friends. Robert is survived by a brother, John Nelson; several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Bill and two sisters, Donna and Dorothy.
