Roberta Jean Williams

NILES - Roberta Jean Williams, 87, died at 7:53 a.m. on Monday December 5, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Bobbie was born in Niles on April 21, 1929 the only child of Howard W. and Josephine (Miller) Williams and lived in this community her entire life. She was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended Bethany College. She retired in 1983 after working over 30 years in the Metalergical Department at Republic Steel. Roberta was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Niles and its Rachel Circle. For many years, she volunteered delivering meals to shut-ins for The Trumbull Mobile Meals. Bobbie is survived by her life long friend Virgina Allen's nieces and nephews, Jim (Julie) O'Brien, Patty (Chuck) Angelo, Susan (Rick) King, Chuck (Denise) Uitto, Peg (Scott) Dobos, Maria Allen, Nick Tirlea and numerous "great nieces and nephews" including Lorrie (Mark) Paschke and Joy Allen. She was preceded in death by her dear friend Virginia Allen and nephews, Bill Allen and his wife Marty, Bob Allen, and niece, Martha Tirlea. The funeral will be Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Paula Marbury will officiate. Burial will be Monday morning in Niles City Cemetery. Memorial conrtributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church 608 Crandon Avenue, Niles, Ohio 44446.
