NILES - Rose M. Pivovar, 94, passed away peacefully at 10:15pm, Friday March 1, 2013 at her daughters Poland residence following a short illness. Rose was born in Oakdale, Pennsylvania on November 18, 1918 the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Fodse) Sinciline and came to this area in 1959. Rose was employed by the Niles City School system as a school bus driver for 20 years and retired in 1979. She was a member of Saint Stephen Church, an active member of the Niles Ladies of the Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling to Florida and to the Casinos, and especially activities with her children, grandchildren and siblings. She is survived by three daughters, Janet (Richard) Kristoff of Farmington, Michigan, Diana Pivovar of Mayer, Arizona, Sandra (Joseph) Romanko of Poland; four grandchildren, Erin Miller of Waterford, Michigan, Ryan Kristoff of Farmington, Michigan, Alex Romanko and Emma Romanko both of Poland; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Reid Miller; two sisters, Pam Vetovich of Columbus and Mary Tournay of The Villages, Florida, and many neices and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Pivovar whom she married September 16, 1947 and who died on July 7, 1999; four  sisters, Angeline Verelst, Victoria Swigunski, Frances DiPietro, Stella Kampian, and three brothers, Benjamin, Warren and Joseph Sinciline. Friends may call at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 10:00 am until 11:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Stephen Church at Noon. Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Park, Canfield. Material contributions may be made to the donors special charity.
