Ruby Eileen (Boyd) Geddes passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 70 years old leaving a void that her loved ones cannot fill.
She was born in Warren, Ohio on May 4th, 1955 the daughter of Leonard R. and Mildred O. (Beal) Boyd Sr., into a large family with her five siblings who were her best friends. Up until the end, Ruby held dearly to her values of kindness, compassion, and her love of her family and friends. Every member of her family can recall spending countless holidays in a home filled with the smells of her cooking, followed by games of kickball in her front yard in the warmer months.
She was always available to anyone who needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a word of encouragement. She was a devoted mother to her four children Shawn, Bobbi Jo, Robert and Craig, who she would have given the world to if she could find a way. She made friends with anyone she spoke to along the way and when she made a friend they became a part of her family. She spent her summers watching her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews play outside, swim in her back yard, and teaching them to ride bikes.
Ruby is survived by her children, Shawn (Shelley), Bobbi Jo (Matt), Robert (Denise); her grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Jackson, Morgan (Dominic), Miranda, Layton, Dakotah, Chase, Harlyn; her countless nieces and nephews including April (Pat), Bobby Gene, Steven and Tracy; her great-nieces and nephews including Becky, Casey, Sabrina, Colton, Lizzy, Patrick, Christopher, Michael and Aaron. All of which will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Sr. and Mildred; brother Leonard Jr.; sisters Helen, Beverly, Shirley, and Anna; her son Craig; and nephews Michael and Brian.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m.
