Shane Thomas Cross

NILES - Shane Thomas Cross, 31, passed away on Monday morning March 13, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Youngstown on August 19, 1985 the son of Timothy Cross and Laura Bowen. He was a 2003 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked for many years as a laborer with Local Union 125 of Youngstown. He was a member of St. Stephen Church and was an avid fisherman. Shane loved the outdoors, and enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting, bowling and working out with his friends at Fizek gym. Shane is survived by his mother, Laura Bowen of Niles; father, Timothy (Tonya) Cross of Mineral Ridge; daughter, Katelynn Nevaeh Cross and her mother Mary Mounier of Girard; maternal grandmother, Doris Bowen of Niles; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Kitty Cross of Mineral Ridge; siblings, Travis Cross of Niles, Brittany Cross of Mineral Ridge, Tommy Cross of Mineral Ridge, Cade McCreanor of Niles; uncle, Mel (Marie) Bowen of Canfield; two aunts, Kathleen "Kadie" Bowen of Mineral Ridge, Cheryl Staudacher of McDonald and cousin, Zack Bowen of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Melvin Richard Bowen. A Service of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call from noon until 1:45 p.m. Rev. James Korda will officiate.
