Shelby Jean Bellard

MINERAL RIDGE - Shelby J. "Jean" Bellard 74, formerly of Girard, passed away peacefully at 4:20 p.m. on Sunday February 7, 2021 at the Cortland Health Care Center. She was born in Warren, Ohio on October 7, 1946 the daughter of Raymond W. and Mary E. (Esser) Gifford. A 1966 graduate of Niles McKinley High School she work for many years as a nurses' aide at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Glen View Manor Nursing Home in Mineral Ridge She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, the church Ladies' Auxiliary and the choir. She enjoyed singing and making crafts. She cherished time spent with her family, friends and church family. Shelby Jean is survived by children, Martha (Robert) Dermer of Cortland, Steven W. (Duan) Kirk of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dina (David) Mitchell of Newnan, Georgia, Leslie "Flip" Bellard II of Newnan, Georgia, Mark E. (Robin) Bellard of Palmetto, Georgia; grandchildren Shane, Hunter, Grayson, Mara, Pim, David, Glen; great granddaughter Madalynn; siblings, Charles R. Gifford of Niles, Faith (Harold) Reese of Girard, Greg Tuthill of Columbus, James Tuthill of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie D. "Darrell" Bellard Sr. whom she married on April 10, 1975 and who died on August 16, 2020; daughter, Andrea Joy Bellard who died in 1967; step-mother Flora Edna Parker and two brothers, William F. Gifford, Gary Tuthill. Calling Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday February 11, 2021 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 12, 2021 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Douglas Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
