Shirley Ann Boyd

NILES - Shirley Ann Boyd, 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning May 22, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Warren on July 30, 1951 the daughter of Leonard R. and Mildred O. (Beal) Boyd Sr. and lived in this area most of her life. A 1970 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she retired in 2010 as the manager of Blue Ribbon Cleaners where she started working in 1991.  She also worked at Monty's Restaurant in Mecca.  She enjoyed and cherished the time spent with family activities. Shirley is survived by two sisters, Ruby Geddes with whom she made her home, Anna Riley of Niles and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael A. Boyd; two sisters, Beverly Jean Boyd, Helen Canann and a brother, Leonard R. Boyd Jr. Calling Hours will be Friday, May 24, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm and Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 10 to 11 am at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Pastor Woody Cavender will officiate.  Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
