Shirley May Gustovich

Shirley May Gustovich , 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 28, 2023 at the residence of her niece Sarella Sekola in Canfield. Her nieces Sarella and Natalie (Gustovich) were by her side as she passed this earthly life. Shirley, affectionately referred to as "Aunt Babe" by those who loved her, was born in Warren, Ohio on November 1, 1950. The daughter of Theodore G. and Sarella (Cicero) Gustovich Sr. was a life long Niles resident.

Shirley was a Niles McKinley High School graduate and a faithful member of Saint Stephen Church, Niles. Shirley retired from the Mineral Ridge High School Cafeteria in 2022, with over 20 years of combining her passion for cooking for others and working with children. She was the family historian and photographer for all of the family gatherings and kid's sporting events throughout the years. She enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Guardians.

Shirley is survived by six brothers and a sister, Theodore (Cindy) Gustovich Jr. of Mineral Ridge, Mary (Robert) Griffiths of Champion, Paul Gustovich of Mineral Ridge, Philip Gustovich of Niles, Mark (Ginny) Gustovich of McDonald, Alan (Leann O'Brien) Gustovich of Warren, Jeffry (Brenda) Gustovich of McDonald, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Saint Stephen Church, Niles, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steven Agostino officiating. Calling hours will be held in the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Burial will be in the Saint Stephen Cemetery.
