Shirley Elaine Lichwarcsik

NILES - Shirley Elaine Lichwarcsik, 60, passed away at 4:06 am on Saturday April 13, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Warren on July 28, 1952 the daughter of Clair E. and Norma (Smith) Barnett.  She was raised in Niles and previously lived12 years in Arizona. A 1970 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she was a bank teller at the Hubbard office of Cortland Banks and worked in recovery at Big Lots in Niles.  She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed listening to country music, playing games with her grandson and watching him play football. Shirley is survived by a daughter, Sheryl (Ancil) Washington Jr. of Niles; grandson, Aaron Lichwarcsik; two sisters, Phyllis Kelsh of Niles, Judy (Ron) Haggerty of Warren; three brothers, Albert (Diane) Barnett of Austintown, Max (Janet) Barnett of Cortland,  Dave Barnett of Austintown, and her special daytime aide Amy. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 4 to 5 pm at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.  The Funeral will follow at 5 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Massie of the Youngstown Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
