Terri L. Wagoner Goforth, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Community Skilled Nursing Home. She was born in Warren, Ohio on November 30, 1951 the daughter of Charles and Joyce (Tackett) Wagoner. She was a loving wife to Donald whom she married on January 11, 1969 and they raised a family in Lisbon and later moved back to Warren.
Terri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker primarily but did work a few jobs in her lifetime at Jim and Pats in Elkton, Lawson's in Columbiana and Homecare Advantage in Salem. Terri was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Warren and formerly Twin Pines Apostolic in Salem. She was a Sunday school teacher, worked with youth group and teen girls. Known for her beautiful voice she sang solos, duets with her husband Don, was part of the church choir and worship team. She also enjoyed flowers, taking care of plants and traveling with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 57 years Donald R. Goforth; daughter, Cathy (Mark) Plegge of Salem; son, Donald Benjamin Goforth of Warren; daughter, Julie (Jerald) Sams of Warren. She was a devoted and loving Nana to her two grandchildren, grandson Caleb (Adriana) Goforth and Joleena (Shawn) Jenkins; great-grandson, Krue Jenkins and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Melissa Berg of Mineral Ridge, Becky (Steve) Stehura of Fowler, and April (Dave) Agne of Howland; brother-in-law Daniel Goforth of Lisbon; her in-laws Frank and Ethel Stealey of Lisbon along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and cousins, whom she adored. Her church family and friends with whom she had life-long friendships. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wagoner; mother, Joyce Wagoner; step mother, Connie Wagoner; brothers, Harold Wagoner, David Wagoner; sister, Rose Polta; brothers -in-law Robert Polta, James Berg and John Agne.
Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Douglas Brown officiating. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
For all who can, the family requests written memories that you have of Terri. We will have a basket where you can drop them in for the family to read and enjoy.
