Theodore Stanley Dogoda

NILES - Theodore Stanley Dogoda Sr., 86, passed away at 8:09 a.m. on Monday September 21, 2015 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born in Niles on September 6, 1929 the son of Joseph and Martha (Zamiatala) Dogoda. He attended St. Stephen Elementary School and was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Ted honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1989 after working more than twenty years as a pipe inspector at J & L Speciality Products. He was a longtime and faithful member of St. Stephen Church and a diehard Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and especially loved tending to his vegetable garden with his sister Freida. Ted is survived by three daughters, Mary Frances "Francie" (Jeffrey) Kolesar of Niles, Debbie (Mike) Gaia of Austintown, Linda (Joe) Ricciardi of Austintown; ten grandchildren, Jenny (Steve) Burke, Jordyn Kolesar, Samuel Crone, Sean Haughey, Brian Haughey, Eric Haughey, Michael Gaia, Paige Dogoda, Jacob Dogoda, Tyler Dogoda and a great grandson, Elton Burke. He was preceded in death by a son and daughter in law, Theodore S. Dogoda Jr.and Terry (McInnis) Dogoda; four sisters, Freida Mae DuRell, Cecylia Trafalska, Ann Hutton, Mary Farinacci and an infant brother Joseph Dogoda. Calling Hours will be Thursday September 24, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where the St. Stephen Bereavement Ministry will have a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday September 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery with Military Honors by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
